Five ways to make your remote life comfortable (WFH)

Hello everyone. Thank you everyone for supporting my first post and especially your comments which  helped me to improve my content.

If you haven't read the first post, here is the link to read it Top 5 things to do in this quarantine

Lets begin the feed for this week. Everything had moved remote, isn't? Right from searching an answer for the simple question till the arranging things for wedding. And during this COVID, even our daily works were forced to be done remotely.

How we used to be?

  • First and foremost thing, we can breathe in this beautiful world without any restrictions.
  • We can go out anytime/anywhere when ever we feel like.
  • Random planned bike ride to the hill-station just to have a cup of tea.
  • Birthday parties / family get-together / hangouts etc,.
  • Live sport events.

And how the world has changed right now?

  • Please wear mask and breathe.
  • There is a Curfew. Your not supposed to go out.
  • No tourism allowed.
  • Virtual Birthday wishes and even virtual birthday cake cut. (Who knows!! May be the birthday boy itself got his own cake)

We are forced to do our daily routines remotely & how can you make those things comfortable. So here are the few ideas which could help you

1. Maintain Regular Hours

Make a schedule and stick to it.. for most of the time. Having the perfect guidelines/instructions for when to work or when to attend the call will make our remote work easier and also help us to make a good work life balance.

Follow 20-20-20 rule. i.e Look away from the screen every 20 minutes at some random things which is 20 feet away for 20 seconds.

2. Create a morning routine

Deciding on when to start the work and making the schedule for yourself is one part, and how you gonna start your day is going to be another part. Start your day by giving thanks to god for adding one more day into your life. If you are a fitness freak, then go to gym and come back.

I personally start my day with a nice coffee which refreshes my mind.

3. Schedule Breaks

Always take care of yourself, and schedule to give yourself a adequate break during the working hours. May be 15-20 mins away from computer and phone. Take a small walk on the terrace and get some fresh air which will relax your mind, body and soul.

4. Have a dedicated workspace

Not everyone can have a separate office space but it is good to set up your own work space. Try to arrange your own work-space and keep it clean/organized.

5. Be Positive

When you work remotely full-time, you must be positive, to the point where it may feel like you're being overly positive. Spread positivity and love which will bring positive vibes around.

Stay safe and spread love. See you all in next post.
